New Year’s Eve Outfits to Take You From Day to Night

Can you believe it’s already time to celebrate a new year? I don’t know about you, but this year has been full of wonderful opportunities for both my career, helping physicians provide the best patient care by simplifying medical management, and my passion, helping women love their style and their life! Let’s dive into the real reason you are here, creating a New Year’s Eve outfit that lasts the entire day!

Many women in business miss out on New Year’s Eve celebrations or get stuck changing into a completely different outfit when the clock strikes five. This New Year’s Eve, I’ve gathered my favorite transition items, and yes, some are full of sequins. PLUS I’m sharing fashion tips for transforming from business casual by day to casual, yet glamorous bombshell by night.

Be yourself.

Be confident and wear what makes you happy. Your personal style allows you to be creative and express who you are. No matter your size, shape, or budget, you can and should look and feel good! What makes me happy? Black and Sequins (lots of Sequins!)

For each outfit in this post, I kept it dressy casual for work by choosing my favorite Michael Kors slim/skinny pants in black – You’ll see these pants in all the work outfits below.  Black ankle pants are a classic staple piece for every business woman. Each top, jumper, and jumpsuit pictured below is from Fab’rik in Midtown. I could have walked out with every single item I tried on, but thankfully my husband will see that I didn’t – it’s a miracle!

For after five, I chose a pair of dark, skinny jeans that felt good and gave me confidence! This outfit is perfect for drinks with the girls, or a casual New Year’s Eve get together with friends!

Wear a jacket or blazer.

Blazers are the easiest fashion item to take your outfit from day to night. Not only are blazers and jackets cute with slim black pants, but they also look chic with jeans. Plus you can take them off to show a little more skin – and still be classy and chic (seen with the jumpsuit below). I absolutely love styling an all-black outfit with a pop of color. Both of these were great holiday additions, and the bottom one would be perfect for those epic roaring twenties parties!

For after five, I chose the same pair of dark, skinny jeans- these were absolutely amazing and I didn’t want to take them off! I chose two different cover ups, a blazer and a sequin crop top. I did not see the silver sequin blazer on their site, but they have several blazers to choose from. Once again, I kept it casual.

Treasure the one piece.

Has anyone else never been a fan of the jumpsuit until now? I am LOVING all the updated jumpsuit styles and could probably live in them. They make an effortless, yet fashionable transition from day to night. This boutique has a ton of cute rompers, too. Some are filled with sequins (seen below) while others are metallic, animal print, patterned, or solid. Opt for a solid color or pattern that you can style with multiple jackets, blazers, or cardigans for different looks.

See the pumps pictured above? Another tip: find comfortable classic heels that you LOVE! For each outfit in this post, I kept it dressy casual for work by choosing my Anne Klein Fayze iflex pumps in black with a classic ankle strap for a sophisticated look.

Dare to be bold.

Add a statement piece to add flare to any outfit – whether at work or play, I love to add a little sparkle. Every woman needs a bold necklace, bracelet, and ring in their jewelry box. It’s the easiest way to change the look of an entire outfit – and if you can find a convertible statement piece that you love, then you have hit the jackpot.

Here are some additional statement necklaces to help you add a little sparkle.
